Last week i had the privilege of attending the #SEEK2019 conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am still speechless! It was an amazing experience despite the long travel and long days and body aches (there was sooo much walking and sooo little sleep).

There were many things that i felt would prevent me from truly enjoying this conference and one of them was the weather. It was in the 50s and it even dipped below that at night! I don’t know if you know, but i am from Southern California and that is basically freezing! I’m so thankful that these things called ‘skyways’ exist! But i acclimated! Towards the end of the conference, i found myself wearing just a hoodie! Who even am i?!

In all seriousness, i prayed that the Lord would free me of my other worries, if only during this conference. And you know what? He provided! At times i did feel my anxieties want to creep in but i just kept praying. Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to enjoy this experience and to focus on You!

In almost each talk i attended, the phrase ‘let go of fear’ would come to mind. It’s something that i’ve been working on in small ways and will push myself to work on more this year.

“Your life will not change until your environment changes.” — Fr. Mike Schmitz '

“What will you do when you sense God’s call? Will you go forward into the Father’s arms, or will you go back to what’s comfortable?” — Edward Sri

"Jesus Christ died for you, but never forget that Jesus Christ rose for you, and He rose so He could teach us how to rise out of our tomb and move forward." - Leah Darrow

Adoration was beautiful! The time flew by. It took me a while to get into deep prayer because there were so many people and so much movement but when the Focus Collective started singing the following lyrics, i finally focused.

Take my life
Take all that I am
With all that I am I will love You
Take my heart
Take all that I have
Jesus how I adore You

The one, the only: Matt Maher. Unfortunately, i didn’t get to the barricade so i got out of the crowd and watched from afar. Lord, why did you make me so short?!

I loved attending the Masses. Never have i seen so many priests in one place! Since there weren’t any kneelers, i learned to offer up that pain for my family.
